Dev as a Service for agile, managed Microsoft 365 development

If your organisation’s Microsoft 365 environment requires regular tweaks and enhancements, you’ll need the support of a skilled development team. But many organisations can’t resource this internally, nor justify buying in DevOps expertise for frequent or light-touch Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform development.

At Content+Cloud, we offer a service that’s perfectly suited for these needs. We offer Dev as a Service as a bolt-on of our Microsoft 365 support to give you agile, speedy development work for your core applications.

What is Dev as a Service?

If you use business apps or enterprise-scale apps such as document management systems, you’ll need help with the regular maintenance or change that such solutions require. Or perhaps you’ve just adopted a new intranet solution built in SharePoint and are ready to innovate with new forms and features. For all these scenarios, you’ll need the skills of a developer.

Dev as a Service gives your organisation access to SharePoint and Power Platform DevOps capabilities delivered by a service provider. Through our work with clients across all sectors, Content+Cloud appreciates that not every organisation needs full-time DevOps – but most will need at least some degree of development work. That’s why we’ve designed an agile managed development service that can be shaped to the requirements of your environment.

Take solutions to market at speed

Typical development work needs to be booked in, often weeks in advance. Our service gives you access to resources with reduced lead times – meaning your solutions are ready at speed.

Lean on our expertise

We’ll allocate you a product owner who’ll help you map out timelines and requirements for every deliverable; as well as a scrum master who’ll meet you regularly and connect you to our DevOps team.

Choose a plan that suits you

We can provide as much support as you need. Packages start from 20 days a year. Day rates reduce as the number of days increases, offering you economy of scale.

How Content+Cloud delivers Dev as a Service

Dev as a Service from Content+Cloud is ideal if you have a continuous need for small-medium changes or enhancements to your applications in SharePoint and Power Platform. Our DevOps team can also support with a range of low-code and Custom Apps (C#) development.

When setting up the service, we’ll work closely with you to draw up a backlog of development requirements and agree a release schedule for each element. Our delivery of the service then follows a four-stage model.

1

Assess

  • Review your requested change requirements in advance of the release period
  • Flag risks
  • Build out and define backlog
2

Plan

  • Define approach/solutions
  • Develop outline estimates
  • Agree scope of deliverables for upcoming release period
  • Produce scope of work
3

Develop

  • Develop code solutions for the defined business requirements
  • Ensure an effective and supportable deployment process
4

Deploy

  • Deploy tested and solution in line with agreed roll-out plan
  • Provide documentation
  • Integrate changes into existing support models

Underpinned by our Microsoft 365 Support

We deliver Dev as a Service as an add-on to our Microsoft 365 support. To use the service, you’ll also need one of our Microsoft 365 support plans. The benefit of this for you is that whatever custom solutions we develop for you can then be seamlessly supported by our DevOps and support teams.
